I can't get past your specious arguments on war. Do you not believe there are just wars? The consensus on WWII is that if there ever was a just war, that was it. No one wants war, but there are times when evil pervades and must be stopped. Wars often take lives in the short run to preserve far more lives in the long run. Hitler had a global vision and showed that he and the Third Reich were capable of killing millions of innocent lives. Even Ghandi admitted that peaceful resistance would not have stopped Hitler.

I am confused by your constant call for justice, yet you voted for and support Obama. I would call not taking a stand against abortion as the ultimate in not fighting for justice. Obama not only supports abortion, he is one of the rare even amongst liberals who believes that doctors and women have a right to partial-birth abortions. How could any Christian calling out for justice then support a man who exemplifies injustice for millions of unborn babies? Seems very inconsistent.

By the way, Obama came out of the nastiest political environment in the nation. Chicago. Only ignorance could possibly cause a person to believe that he was anything but a ideological political animal.

You are right that the Church must strive for justice apart from the government. The government will never be the answer no matter who is president. Your disdain for Pres. Bush is only matched by my disdain for the amateur Pres. Obama. How's that hope and change working out for you?

Some good thoughts about leadership, but ultimately this isn't a fair comparison because MLK never served as a president with all of its complexities. MLK was a prophet/activist leading from a completely different vantage point.
