"Hyperactivity mega-church" --- God's work is done in the mega-church and in the house church. Whether the body is missional or attractional (Lord-willing, a combo of both), people will come to know Jesus. I've also heard of many a pastor run-down by greedy, selfish house churches that care more about their little church community than actual, substantial growth. Let's grow up.

I'm glad that the book is doing well. I found it a helpful and stimulating read.

In fact, I might put it on my pile for a re-read!

Is there another book in the works?

Jaime ...thanks for the word from Winnipeg. My father grew up in Winnipeg ... hope the book encourages your work there.
Alan ... many thanks for your words again. I am with you on your general sentiment. we have much to talk about if we ever get a chance for coffee in Chicago.
Len...
At "the Vine" we have a lot ofr college students ... and a good number of seminary students. Out of 150 people, probably 40% is in this category. We instituted a college of preachers every summer where we choose 4 men/women to take the homily-preaching task on Sunday . we meet and discuss preaching, leadership and stuff... We have a church life committee that meets twice a month. We talk about everything going on ...and together guide the church...we have all interns and ministry leaders particpate in a mutual submissive Holy Spirit guided leadership time ...All the pastors are committed to this ... the confluence of these and other factors together has led to several maturing leaders... The best is when a young burned out pastor in his/her twenties ... burnt to a toast by an over stressed, perfectionist, hyperactivity mega church .. comes limping into our church .. just settles in to live among us ... get a job .. and get healed... and a few years later becomes a rejunivated missional leader.

Peace .. all

david, it sounds like you are raising up leaders at an astonishing rate. Obviously there are some environmental factors that are key... care to share your thoughts in that direction? len
