Here’s a couple of “heads-up.” Ecclesia Network has a church planters training gathering May 17. I’ll be participating along with many other veterans of missional church planting. I think this gathering is a really needed alternative to other “boot camps” which may focus extensively on doctrinal issues and matters of pragmatics. Here we’re focusing on the many issues surrounding preparing people to land teams and engage a context missionally (and of course there are theological issues here). I also want to let you know that we have a few openings still to fill in a scholarship program at Northern Seminary. We;’ve been working hard to develop a set of prepatory Masters degrees for missional ministry. Where is the Ecclesia event? I went to the site, but the “where” was blank.
The “free Seminary education” drew me in quite quickly, as this is what several of us have been looking at in Little Flowers. Alas, as a 33 year old with a high school diploma (and 15 years of informal & non-formal study), I miss the boat. Too bad.
